2013 has ended and a brand new year has begun. I must strive with new resolve and strive along side with my mentor.
It is my greatest good fortune to encounter the gohonzon and my mentor, SGI President Ikeda.
I once read, "My mentor is great because he himself is an outstanding disciple, fulfilling every single promise made to his mentor, 2nd President Today with undying devotion.
I will strive to emulate the same commitment to fulfil every promise. It will be challenging. It will demand genuine sincerity, total commitment and great tenacity. Connecting my life to my mentor's great life and actions will serve as my source of courage, compassion, wisdom and human revolution.
Just as the gosho states, "A blue fly, if it clings to the tail of a thoroughbred horse, can travel ten thousand miles, and the green ivy that twines around the tall pine can grow a thousand feet." (WND-1, 17).
