There is a difference between saying "i'll do my best" and making a vow that "no matter what, i will absolutely win." It is the difference between doubting myself and having conviction in my buddha nature. Defeat is not an option, the only possibility left was to realize my untapped potential annd break out of my self imposed limitations.

We must have abosolute conviction in gohonzon. Whenever you make a determination, do you left a back door open, a way out "just in case" my prayer wasn't answered. As long as the back door is open, defeat is possible.
